Beginner level-No prior experience needed
During this two hour class, you will craft 5 each of two different birthday card designs using tools provided by the instructor during the class. You will be shown how to ink a stamp and stamp it on paper, punch out a stamped image, put paper in an embossing folder and run it through a die cutting machine. At the end of class you will have made 10 cards ready to mail to your family or friends. $25.00 plus materials.

Intermediate- You should be able to do ssk, K2tog, increase, and a simple cable stitch. These gloves areknit using the magic loop method, however you can use double pointed needles or two circular needles if you prefer.
While knitting these unconventional-looking mitts you will learn techniques that create a look as individual as you are!
You will expand your knitting knowledge by learning how to create piping and manipulate stitches in new and creative ways as you knit this double-layered mitt.
$65 for 6 hours of class (schedule as described above) plus materials.
Three hours of class: March 6 – 6-7pm and March 13 – 6-8pm
In this class you will learn Emily Ocker's cast on and will use yarn-over's and knit two together to achieve a written (not charted) lace pattern.
You will go home after the second class with a completed bag and the skills and confidence to attempt this different kind of cast on, and other written lace patterns.
This quick to make bag is meant to be symbolic of what girlfriends do for one another – we help lighten each other's load.

Advanced Beginner. Must know how to perform Continental knit stitches, and be able to purl English style
This is the companion class to Continental Knitting. You will learn to purl using the Continental method, and have the opportunity to begin a project using your new Continental knitting and purling skills. Combination knitting will also be discussed
$25 for one 2-hr classes plus materials

Private classes are available for Learn to Knit, and for assistance with a particular technique, pattern or project. Private crochet lessons are also available. We'll try to work with your schedule, scheduling outside of normal store hours when possible.
Please register at least one week prior to scheduled class. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
If we have less than 3 students registered for a group class you will be offered the option of a refund or you may take the class at the teacher's private class rate.
Refunds will be not be given after the registration deadline unless our class minimum is reached.
If a class is canceled due to dangerous weather conditions we will reschedule the class. If we cancel a class for any other reason you will receive a full refund.

Six hours of class time in 3 sessions:
Intermediate - If you have taken the Beginner's sock class, or are comfortable making socks one at a time you are ready for this class.
In this class you will learn to take measurements so your socks are customized. Learn Judy's Magic Cast-On, Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, and how to use the Magic Loop or two circulars to knit your socks as a matching pair.

Sunday (date to be determined) 1-4pm
In this introductory class to wool applique, you will work with pre-cut wool shapes and learn basic stitches and techniques to complete a project you can be proud of. Prior knowledge of needlework is not required. $50.00 plus $25.00 materials fee*
*Materials fee includes the wool, floss and needle that will be used in class for this project. You will also need to bring short, sharp scissors (also available for purchase at the shop) Starting your Ghosts in Spring will give you time to practice your new skills without feeling rushed. After completing this project you'll feel ready to start a more complex seasonal piece.

Learn how to crochet in this class. You’ll learn basic crochet stitches while you make a necklace, bracelet, and other goodies.
Class meets for one hour on four consecutive evenings. $50.

Advanced Beginner - If you can knit, purl, decrease and have worked "in the round" (on circular needles or double points), you are ready for this class
In this class you will learn how a traditional cuff-down sock is made, using worsted weight yarn. We'll cover the cast-on, the heel flap, turning the heel, making a gusset,and the kitchener stitch. $50. for two 2-hr. sessions plus materials.
