Gauge: 6 sts/inch for infant size; other gauges are listed in pattern
You will learn the difference between a double decrease(dd) and a centered double decrease (cdd), the difference between a m1 L, m1 R, and how to change colors in garter stitch.
This class will walk you through the instructions in addition to giving hints to make the instructions more understandable.

Sunday April 29, 1-4 In this introductory class to wool applique, you will work with pre-cut wool shapes and learn basic stitches and techniques to complete a project you can be proud of. Prior knowledge of needlework is not required. $50.00 plus $25.00 materials fee*
*Materials fee includes the wool, floss and needle that will be used in class for this project. You will also need to bring short, sharp scissors (also available for purchase at the shop)
Starting your Ghosts in Spring will give you time to practice your new skills without feeling rushed. After completing this project you'll feel ready to start a more complex seasonal piece. $50.00 plus $25.00 materials fee

In this class you will learn Emily Ocker's cast on and will use yarn-over's and knit two together to achieve a written (not charted) lace pattern.
You will go home after the second class with a completed bag and the skills and confidence to attempt this different kind of cast on, and other written lace patterns.
This quick-to-make bag is meant to be symbolic of what girlfriends do for one another – we help lighten each other's load. $50. plus materials

Sunday, May 6, 2:00pm – 3:00pm Cupcake Wrapper Wreath Sunday May 6, 2018 2-3pm Learn how to make flowers of different shapes and sizes from cupcake wrappers when you create a beautiful spring wreath. This is a great family activity for ages 6 to 99. First family member $25.00 plus $3.00 materials fee. Additional adult family members may participate for only $5.00 plus $3.00 materials fee. Private classes are available for Learn to Knit, and for assistance with a particular technique, pattern or project. Private crochet lessons are also available. We'll try to work with your schedule, scheduling outside of normal store hours when possible.
Please register at least one week prior to scheduled class. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
If we have less than 3 students registered for a group class you will be offered the option of a refund or you may take the class at the teacher's private class rate.
Refunds will be not be given after the registration deadline unless our class minimum is reached.
If a class is canceled due to dangerous weather conditions we will reschedule the class. If we cancel a class for any other reason you will receive a full refund.

Two-at-a-Time Toe Up Socks Classes every 2 weeks for two hours each
Intermediate - If you have taken the Beginner's sock class, or are comfortable making socks one at a time you are ready for this class. It is helpful if you have previously worked a pattern from a simple chart.
In this class you will learn to take measurements so your socks are customized. We will cover Judy's Magic Cast-On, Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, and how to use the Magic Loop or two circulars to knit your socks as a matching pair. $65.00 plus materials
