Two 2-hr classes
Advanced beginner - must be able to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and have some experience working "in the round"
Quickly create your first top-down sock in this class using traditional top-down sock techniques with worsted weight yarn.
Following the instructions on the specified pattern and making a baby sock, you will learn how to cast on for the sock, knit the heel flap, turn the heel, make a gusset, and end with the kitchener stitch. When these class sessions are over, you will be ready to start your first pair of socks using sock yarn.

Virtual knitting classes are the next best thing to being in the shop together.
When you needle felt your own Bunny it will have it's own unique personality. Previous needle felting experience is not necessary, and you will finish your bunny in class. We'll have extra Bunny kits available in case you need more bunnies for the upcoming holiday.

Make a needle felted Bear with a heart for someone who needs a little love. Previous needle felting experience is not necessary, and you will finish your bear in class.

Would you like to learn to assemble your own handmade items? In this class you will learn ways of seaming, picking up stitches, and weaving in ends that will help you to be a more confident knitter/crocheter. You will bring your own pieces that need finishing to class and in 2 hours will be well on your way to completion of your project(s).

What to bring:
Anything knit or crochet flat that needs to be sewn together - sweater parts, hats, mittens, etc. You must bring your own projects-we will not have samples for you to work on in class.
Pattern and yarn used for your project
Darning (yarn) needles, and any other notions mentioned in your pattern (such as buttons, safety pins or locking stitch markers)
Do you feel that your knitting looks slapped together rather than professionally seamed? In this class you will learn how to invisibly seam two knitted pieces together. You will leave this class with the confidence that you know how to seam properly.

Have you ever ripped out a project because you discovered a dropped stitch? Often this can be fixed quickly without ripping out. In class you will purposely drop and rescue stockinette knit stitches and garter knit stitches, and leave the class with confidence. $25. plus materials for one two-hour class

In this technique class you will use worsted weight yarn and learn how to cast on for the sock, knit the heel flap, turn the heel, make a gusset, and end with the kitchener stitch. $50 for two 2-hr sessions plus materials.
With Magic loop knitting you can knit hats, mittens, socks and sweaters without using double point needles. Learn how to work with a long circular needle and you'll never have to buy double points again.

In this class you will learn to take raw wool and create a sheep. You will learn to see a creature and by stabbing wool with felting needles, create that animal. At the end of the 2-hour session, you will have a needle felted sheep, and will leave with the ability to see, study features, and create. This creating adventure has no limits! One 2-hour class $25. plus materials

Learn how to read and understand crochet patterns. While working on the Sampler Stitch Cowl, we'll discuss the different parts of a written pattern, abbreviations, and common written notation styles. $50.00 for one three-hour session plus materials
Skill Level: Should be familiar with how to chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet.
Advanced beginner – must be able to chain and single crochet In this 3-part class you will work on a practice pattern beginning with a 2-color practice piece. During the following sessions you will begin to work with four colors. By the end of the third session you will work with several colors in your project and understand how to use your pattern to create your portrait. $150.00 for 3 sessions plus $25. pattern and materials

While making this two inch long sock, you will learn the entire process of knitting a toe-up sock using worsted weight yarn. In class we'll cover Judy's Magic Cast-on using DPN's, how to do a wrap-and-turn, and Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off.
Skill level: Advanced Beginner-should be comfortable working "in the round" Two 2-hour sessions $55. plus materials.

Intermediate - If you have made socks one at a time and have previously worked a pattern from a simple chart you are ready for this class. In this class you will learn to take measurements so your socks are customized. We will cover Judy's Magic Cast-On, Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, and how to use the Magic Loop or two circulars to knit your socks as a matching pair. $65.00 plus materials
Private classes are available for Learn to Knit, and for assistance with a particular technique, pattern or project. Private crochet lessons are also available. We'll try to work with your schedule, scheduling outside of normal store hours when possible.
Please register at least one week prior to scheduled class. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
If we have less than 3 students registered for a group class you will be offered the option of a refund or you may take the class at the teacher's private class rate.
Refunds will be not be given after the registration deadline unless our class minimum is reached.
If a class is canceled due to dangerous weather conditions we will reschedule the class. If we cancel a class for any other reason you will receive a full refund.
