Needle Felted Gnome Class $25. + $3. materials fee Saturday Dec. 16, 2023 2-4pm
In this beginner-friendly class you will learn how to needle felt an adorable little gnome to take home and enjoy or give as a gift. Your gnome will be a cute decoration, or you can attach a cord and turn him into a tree ornament. You will gain basic needle felting skills that will enable you to make more gnomes, or try other projects.
Materials fee includes enough roving to make one gnome, plus a felting needle. Additional materials kits will be available.

To participate, you must also have a copy of “Knit A Little” by Marie Greene, discounted to $25.49 for registrants.
You will also need circular needles US sz 5 & 6, and double point needles sz 6.

Pre-work required before class:. With main color cast on required number of stitches (pg.114) and work the pattern until you come to the charted section. All hats in this book are sized from baby thru adult. Making a small size will ensure that you keep up with the class.

Please make a swatch ahead of time to practice the picot bind off in class. Cast on24 stitches and knit 24 rows. Do not bind off.

Cast On - a cable cast on is recommended. Dawn aka The Stitching Coach will be at the store on October 8 from 1-3 to demonstrate the cable cast-on.
You should also know how to Knit, Purl, Increase, Knit 2 Together, SSK & Bind Off. The charts will be covered in class, but you will most likely be finishing the hat on your own.

Have you ever ripped out a project because you discovered a dropped stitch? Often this can be fixed quickly without ripping out. In class you will purposely drop and rescue stockinette knit stitches and garter knit stitches, and leave the class with confidence. $25. plus materials for one two-hour class

Advanced beginner - must be able to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and have some experience working "in the round"
In this technique class you will use worsted weight yarn and learn how to cast on for the sock, knit the heel flap, turn the heel, make a gusset, and end with the kitchener stitch. $50 for two 2-hr sessions plus materials.
In this class you will learn to take raw wool and create a sheep. You will learn to see a creature and by stabbing wool with felting needles, create that animal. At the end of the 2-hour session, you will have a needle felted sheep, and will leave with the ability to see, study features, and create. This creating adventure has no limits! One 2-hour class $25. plus materials
Learn how to read and understand crochet patterns. While working on the Sampler Stitch Cowl, we'll discuss the different parts of a written pattern, abbreviations, and common written notation styles. $50.00 for one three-hour session plus materials
Skill Level: Should be familiar with how to chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet.
Private classes are available for Learn to Knit, and for assistance with a particular technique, pattern or project. Private crochet lessons are also available. We'll try to work with your schedule, scheduling outside of normal store hours when possible.
Please register at least one week prior to scheduled class. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
If we have less than 3 students registered for a group class you will be offered the option of a refund or you may take the class at the teacher's private class rate.
Refunds will be not be given after the registration deadline unless our class minimum is reached.
If a class is canceled due to dangerous weather conditions we will reschedule the class. If we cancel a class for any other reason you will receive a full refund.
