Lindsey will answer all your crochet related questions to help you start, make progress on, and/or complete the projects you've always dreamed of. All skill levels welcome.

Saturday Oct. 25, 2025 1-3pm
This class will introduce you to core skills necessary for adding embroidery to your knits. You will knit the cardigan ahead of class, using the Toadstools Cardigan pattern by Julie Taylor. This easy-to-follow pattern includes 7 sizes from newborn to 4 years, and is an easy knit for those who have previously made a top down cardigan. $40 plus a materials fee of $12. which includes 4 skeins of embroidery yarn, needle,and the Toadstools pattern pre-printed on embroidery stabilizer.
Please purchase the pattern on Ravelry or through New England Yarn well ahead of time so that your cardigan will be completed before class. You will be using DK weight yarn plus US sz. 4 and 6 needles as indicated in pattern.

In this 3 part class you will work on making toe up slipper socks in the round with an afterthought heel . The kit we are using for this class is an I Love Yarn Day special and includes one skein of Tosh Vintage Worsted, an Oh Snap bag, & download code for the class pattern: Slowdown Slippers. Register before Oct. 11 (I Love Yarn Day) to reserve your kit for this class.

Intimidated by socks? This introductory class will dispel the sorcery of sock knitting. Let Dawn, The Stitching Coach guide you in knitting socks two-at-a-time, short row shaping, grafting and picking up stitches . Please print or save the free pattern to your device before class. We will use the Vanilla Sock pattern found here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dk-weight-vanilla-socks .
Skill level: Advanced Beginner: you should know how to knit, purl, increase, decrease and have some experience "knitting in the round"
This class will be held in store with option to attend on Zoom.

Do you feel that your knitting looks slapped together rather than professionally seamed? In this class you will learn how to invisibly seam two knitted pieces together. You will leave this class with the confidence that you know how to seam properly.
Before class, please make 2 approx. 4"x4" swatches in stockinette stitch and 2 swatches (as above) in garter stitch. You may use any solid light colored yarn that you have left over from projects, but each set of two swatches should be made from the same yarn.

Private classes are available for Learn to Knit, and for assistance with a particular technique, pattern or project. Private crochet lessons are also available. We'll try to work with your schedule, scheduling outside of normal store hours when possible.
Please register at least one week prior to scheduled class. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
If we have less than 3 students registered for a group class you will be offered the option of a refund or you may take the class at the teacher's private class rate.
Refunds will be not be given after the registration deadline unless our class minimum is reached.
If a class is canceled due to dangerous weather conditions we will reschedule the class. If we cancel a class for any other reason you will receive a full refund.
