Yvonne Cherry, published crochet designer and F.I.T. Certified Crochet Instructor has been crocheting since 1968.
She is a current Executive Producer of Make and Take Crochet TV Show, which explores crochet techniques, yarn and fibers, history and culture of crochet artistry in the African Diaspora and World Wide. Yvonne is the Founder and President of Brooklyn Crochet and Brooklyn Crochet Connection an intergenerational crochet program, teaching crochet, hosting crochet circles and crochet clinics at libraries, senior centers, schools, arts & craft stores and yarn shops in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
She a member of the HARLEM Knitting Circle, and the local chapter of the Crochet Guild of America, New York City Crochet Guild.
Please register at least one week prior to scheduled class. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
If we have less than 3 students registered for a group class you will be offered the option of a refund or you may take the class at the teacher's private class rate.
Refunds will be not be given after the registration deadline unless our class minimum is reached.
If a class is canceled due to dangerous weather conditions we will reschedule the class. If we cancel a class for any other reason you will receive a full refund.

Private classes are available for Learn to Knit, and for assistance with a particular technique, pattern or project. Private crochet lessons are also available. We'll try to work with your schedule, scheduling outside of normal store hours when possible.

Advanced Beginner Three 2-hour sessions

You will learn the difference between a double decrease(dd) and a centered double decrease (cdd), the difference between a m1 L, m1 R, and how to change colors in garter stitch.

Two-at-a-Time Toe Up Socks Classes
Intermediate - If you have taken the Beginner's sock class, or are comfortable making socks one at a time you are ready for this class. It is helpful if you have previously worked a pattern from a simple chart.
In this class you will learn to take measurements so your socks are customized. We will cover Judy's Magic Cast-On, Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, and how to use the Magic Loop or two circulars to knit your socks as a matching pair. $65.00 plus materials
